Tommy Kotrla started boxing when he was 15 and two years later began boxing in the senior Czech premier league.
Five times international champion of Austria, among a wealth of other accolades including 229 wins out of 282 fights, today Tommy uses his extensive experience as a boxing trainer at TK Boxing training as part of a group class or 1-2-1 personal training.
Boxing is a great therapy for today’s fast paced and stressful life – ideal for releasing anger, frustration and relieving anxiety.
“I believe boxing is one of the best full body exercises you can do,” says Tommy. “One of the things many of my clients say afterwards is that boxing makes them feel good because it is so stress relieving – when you are completely focused on boxing you forget about all the other things that might be on your mind. It is high energy so you get a natural high from all those endorphins being released into the body and the mind gets a workout too focusing on all the technical moves, punches, footwork, stance – or even just whether it’s left or right hand!”
