Tunbridge Wells Teddy Needs Naming
This Christmas will see the return of Tunbridge Wells’ biggest Teddy Bear to Royal Victoria Place (RVP). The 3.5m giant bear was hugely loved last year with shoppers and their families posting and sharing selfies of themselves and donating money to support local charity ellenor.
In 2017, the #TeddySelfie campaign raised nearly £3,000 for ellenor and helped to fund 90 play therapy sessions for very sick children across the Kent region.
This Christmas RVP wants to give its much-loved teddy bear a special name, so is inviting local children to get creative and give it a name in aid of ellenor, a Kent-based charity bringing specialist hospice care to the child’s home, allowing families to spend more time together.
Children who wish to enter the bear naming competition can do so by emailing their suggested name together with up to 50 words about why they chose the name to ellenor by Monday 29th October 2018 (see full details below). The winner will receive a £50 RVP Gift Card plus a family VIP invitation to meet Santa and attend the Festive Family Fun Day at RVP on Sunday 18th November.
The Giant Teddy will be on display at RVP between Sunday 18th November and Christmas Eve and located on level 2 opposite French Connection.
