Get Set For The Tunbridge Wells Winter Lantern Parade
It’s all go, go, go in the run-up to the 2019 Tunbridge Wells Winter Lantern Parade. CREATE, in partnership with the Royal Tunbridge Wells Round Table, have announced that the local spectacular will be on Saturday 9th February starting at 5.30pm at Royal Victoria Place and finishing for the first time at the Grosvenor and Hilbert Recreation Ground (Auckland Road entrance).
There are five different lantern packs for you to choose from which will reflect the 2019 theme of Outer Space. Each pack will contain all the things that you need to make a lantern, including an appropriate LED light and instructions. All you’ll need is some PVA glue and lots of imagination to make a stunning lantern to show off in the parade!
There will be a series of free family workshops throughout the weekends of January and first weekend of February, and there will be a charge of £5 for a lantern pack. Artists and CREATE volunteers will be on hand to help. There will be a morning and afternoon sessions and booking is advised as places are limited.
